Prometheus Group is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing organization. This role is pivotal in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, creating impactful sales enablement materials, and driving successful product launches for assigned product and industry segments within our portfolio. The ideal candidate will understand how to build go-to-market strategy with a knack for crafting compelling messaging and positioning content to project our market leadership in highly competitive markets.
The role will serve as the champion for their assigned solution segments of the company and its enterprise asset management portfolio and be the key driver of launching new product introductions into market. Our Product Marketing Managers develop strong content that spans the funnel and create positioning that establishes Prometheus Group’s market fit tailored to multiple industry verticals and solution segments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Know the Customer: Own the ICP (Ideal Customer Profile): Enable a data driven approach to targeting our marketing and sales efforts to the right market segment with the right messaging and offers.
- Market impact: Create go-to-market plans for new product launches and customer expansion including market sizing, messaging, and collaboration with demand generation to drive early adoption and market our compelling differentiation.
- Insights into action: Curate third party sources, and conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights to inform product marketing strategies and content. Leverage to evolve product strategy and identify, segment, and size market opportunities and threats.
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop compelling, differentiated product messaging that resonates with Prometheus Group’s target audiences. It is important to craft role-based and industry-based value propositions that align customer pain points with ROI value-based content relevant to the segment.
- Core Content Excellence: This team will become subject matter experts of impactful content with compelling storylines, including both corporate and product Web site content, collateral - specifically our presentation decks, demos, webinars, and blog posts, to support marketing campaigns and sales engagement efforts.
- Performance Metrics: Set, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) of the role’s domain to take measures to ensure growth. Conduct usage analysis, win-loss analysis, and product market acceptance evaluation to tune positioning and share insights with Product Management and Development completing a closed loop.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including our sales, customer success, demand generation and product management to align on messaging, positioning, and goals.
- Team to win: In collaboration with Product Management and Sales Engineers, provide Business Development and Sales teams with the tools, training, and materials they need to effectively sell our products and achieve revenue targets. Our USA-based Marketing team is fully on-site in our North Hills, Raleigh office. We thrive in a highly collaborative environment along with our peer teams.
- Industry influence: Engage with Industry Analysts to best position Prometheus Group within the industry.
- Build and own our User Group Program in collaboration with Product Management.
Experience
- (4+) years of increasing experience in Product Marketing, and/or product roles successfully establishing market position and leading a product segment.
- Experience working with direct, partner, and channel marketing sales leaders to deliver business outcomes spanning impactful market launch and sustaining motions that drive expansion and renewals.
- Must be highly driven with a passion for winning in strategic markets. Demonstrated ability to gather/synthesize market information and customer research to drive business planning and strategy.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to champion their assigned portfolio across the organization and the market.
- Strong collaboration & negotiation skills, showing the ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across the organization to achieve agreed-upon business outcomes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product management, demand generation, sales, and technology teams required.
- Ability to work within a high-growth, fast-paced culture.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related discipline.
